LG-DDR-F3 PVDF Recirculating Lab Gooseneck Faucet
PVDF Recirculating Lab Gooseneck Faucet, Deck Mount, w/ Duraline Control Valve, Recirculating Control Module w/ 3/8" Inlet & Outlet, Handle in Front
High Purity PVDF Recirculating Lab Faucet with Duraline Control Valve
Product Overview
The Marquest Scientific LG-DDR-F3 is a high-purity PVDF recirculating lab faucet designed primarily for use with a recirculating system incorporating a non-pressurized tank or reservoir. The non-pressurized tank provides the pressure drop for the recirculating flow to continue and return via the recirculating tube. Since the water is returned to the tank, it is not actually consumed. This deck-mount faucet features the Duraline control valve with front handle position and a specialized recirculating module with 3/8" inlet and outlet connections.
Key Features
Innovative Recirculation System
- FEP Recirculating Tube: Extends from the recirculating module all the way to the point-of-use control valve
- Continuous Flow Technology: Maintains constant water movement through the entire system
- Non-Consumption Design: Water returns to the reservoir through the recirculating tube instead of being wasted
- Recirculating Control Module: Enables proper flow return to the reservoir with appropriate pressure balance
System Functionality
- When piping the faucets in series, a common return line can accept each individual recirculating tube
- A small pressure drop downstream of each faucet ensures positive flow through the recirculating system
- Provides adequate pressure for main water dispensing while maintaining continuous circulation
Construction Excellence
- High-Purity Materials: 100% virgin natural PVDF wetted fluid path with PTFE seals
- Zero Contamination: No elastomers, metals, or lubricants in construction
- Maximum Durability: Designed for extreme industrial environments
- Compliance: Meets and exceeds FDA, USDA, and USP standards
- Easy Maintenance: Completely renewable control valve
Applications
Ideal for Type I and Type II deionized water, reverse osmosis (RO), and ultra-filtrated water systems in:
- Research laboratories
- Pharmaceutical facilities
- Semiconductor manufacturing
- Medical facilities
- Any environment requiring ultra-pure water delivery
Performance Features
- Objective: Provides constant flow of DI Water when the point-of-use dispense is not being utilized
- Stagnation Prevention: Continuous flow prevents water stagnation and subsequent bacterial growth
- Optimized Flow Rate: 4.5 feet per second or greater recommended for recirculating flow stream
- Biomass Protection: Maintains flow rate to prevent bacteria and other biomass from adhering to internal surfaces
- Flexible Implementation: Even lower flow rates provide benefits over a stagnate system
- Maximum Output: 2.5 GPM maximum @ 80 PSI
- Pressure Rating: 150 PSI maximum
- Ergonomic Operation: Low torque on/off with 120° rotation from full flow to closed
- Positive Stop: Definitive off position for reliable operation
- Industry Standard Compliance: Black handle with white marker and "DI" text per SEFA code No. 7
Design Features
- Recirculating Control Module: Enables proper water return to the reservoir tank
- FEP Recirculating Tube: Runs from the module all the way to the point-of-use control valve for complete circulation
- Zero Dead Leg Design: Control valve activation at point of use eliminates stagnation pockets
- Ultra-Smooth Internal Flow Path: Minimizes potential for bacterial adhesion
- Unique Heavy Wall Construction: Superior durability and chemical resistance
- PTFE Sealed Mechanism: Encapsulated PTFE shut-off seal for unlimited life
- Removable Barb Tip: Leaves a 1/4" Female NPT Connection for adaptability
- Through Deck Nipple: Provides secure mounting and routing for the recirculating tube
- Nut Ring: Secures faucet assembly to the mounting surface
Installation Overview
The faucet comes pre-assembled with the recirculating module and tube. Installation follows these steps:
- Remove the Recirculating Module and Recirculating Tube from the through deck nipple
- Mount the faucet in the desired location through a 1" diameter hole
- Tighten to deck with the Ring Nut supplied
- Insert the Recirculating Tube into and through the Through Deck Nipple until the 3/8" male NPT thread in the inlet connection of the Through Deck Nipple is visible; tighten by hand plus 1/4 wrench turn
- Connect the supply line to the 3/8" female NPT inlet connection
- Connect the recirculating return line to the 3/8" female NPT outlet connection
- Pressure test all connections
When piping multiple recirculating faucets in series, a common return line may be used to accept each individual recirculating tube. A small pressure drop downstream of each faucet ensures proper system function.
Note: High-density PTFE tape is the recommended thread sealant for all connections.
Maintenance
The Duraline control valve is completely renewable by replacing the internal cartridge, in compliance with SEFA 7-2010-8.2a specifications, ensuring long-term operational reliability with minimal maintenance requirements.
Dimensions
- Total height: Approximately 13.4 inches
